Frank the Food Facilitator

“I have created TasteLocal so that everyone can easily make their own Babettes feast at home, with unique, high quality products, and with no one limiting the choices.”  Frank Lantz

BRINGING GLOBAL TOP FOOD INGREDIENTS DIRECTLY FROM THE PRODUCERS HANDS TO THE CUSTOMERS

Is the one single mission of Frank Lantz and TasteLocal. An idea that started on a movie screen back in 1986.

Frank Lantz was inspired to create TasteLocal by the Danish Oscar winning movie Babette’s Feast - a favourite classic for gourmets, where the French immigrant Babette spent her whole heritage importing and serving exotic dishes to a group of uncultivated and conservative 18th century peasants in rural Denmark. Effectively showing how one great meal and the love for food can heal a darkened community, invoking a new and more universal perspective on what constitutes The Good Life.

THE COOKING CREDENTIALS OF FRANK LANTZ ARE WELL KNOWN TO ALL GOURMET COPENHAGENERS

Including the Danish Royal Family, who invited Frank Lantz to cater directly to The Royal Palace New Year celebration, after having made his name running the iconic Krogs Fiskerestaurant. Here, Frank Lantz took the traditional Danish way of cooking fish to a new level, impressing the growing Danish gastronomy scene, and contributing to the Nordic food trend.
