Tastelocal ApS (“Tastelocal”, “we” or “us”) is a marketplace for food and food experiences at (hereinafter, the “Site”). We are committed to protect the personal information that you share with us. Terms which are not defined herein, shall have the meaning as described in our User terms and conditions, into which this Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference.
1. Your Consent as a User (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)
2. How do TasteLocal collect information?
TasteLocal collect information through the User’s use of the Site. Secondly, TasteLocal collect information which Users provide us voluntarily, e.g. during the registration process within the Site.
3. TasteLocal may collect two types of data and information:
a. The first type of information is non-identifiable and anonymous information (“Non-Personal Information”). TasteLocal is not aware of the identity of the User from whom TasteLocal has collected the Non-Personal Information. Non-Personal Information includes any unconcealed information, which does not enable identification of an individual User, and which is available to TasteLocal while such User is
entering and/or using the Site. Non-Personal Information includes technical information, behavioral information and aggregated information, and may contain, among other things, the activity of the User on the Site, type of operating system, User’s searches on the Site, referral URL, type and version of browser, screen resolution, etc.
b. The second type of information is individually identifiable information (“Personal Information”). This information may identify an individual or may be of a private and/or sensitive nature. Personal Information consists of any personal details provided voluntarily by the User or other Users in connection with the use of the Site. The Personal Information is collected from the details the User provides TasteLocal, when the User is being registered via the online registration available on the Site. The Personal Information includes the following: full name, e-mail address and place of residence. In addition, when a User is updating their Account, the User may also provide, at his/her sole discretion, information such as photos, languages spoken, name, gender, birthdates, etc. A User can also open an Account and sign up to the Site via existing third party accounts (namely Facebook) used by such User. In the event that a User registers to the Site through his/her existing social network account, then such social network account will provide TasteLocal with access to certain information about the User, which is stored in the User’s social network account, namely, the User’s full name and email and/or any other information, which is detailed and displayed to the User in the notice which appears during the integration process with such social network account. We recommend you to
carefully read such notice in order to understand what information is made available to TasteLocal via your social network account. TasteLocal reserves the right to store the above-mentioned information (or any part of it), in order to achieve the purposes set forth herein. TasteLocal has no liability or responsibility for the privacy practices or other actions of such social networks, and the manner in which
social networks use, store or disclose your information is governed solely by their policies. If you cannot accept the above mentioned practices, please do not use the social network integration feature. If you use the social network integration feature, you hereby agree and accept that such information will be stored even after the linkage to your social Network account expires, for any reason. In order to become a Seller and be upgraded with a Seller Account, you will be required to submit through our Site an application in which you will be requested to provide certain additional information, which may include Personal Information, such as payment details. Please note that TasteLocal will forward your payment details to TasteLocal’s payment service provider, Mangopay, 2 Avenue Amélie, L-1125 Luxembourg (“Mangopay “), and you hereby agree and accept that TasteLocal provide the payment service provider with the necessary information in order for the service provider to manage the payment transactions in connection with your product. In regards to Users, who wish to buy a product, you will have to make the payments through our payment service provider Mangopay. In the order and payment process you will be required to provide to Mangopay certain Personal Information (such as, a credit card number and other related billing information). TasteLocal will not store such information on our servers and such information is strictly secured. TasteLocal do not collect any Personal Information from you or related to you without your approval, which is obtained, inter alia, through your active acceptance to the User terms and conditions and the Privacy
4. The purposes of the collection of information?
Non-Personal Information is collected in order to enhance the User experience on the Site and to improve TasteLocal’s services and enable future commercial related services. TasteLocal may also use Non-Personal Information for statistical and research purposes and for customization and improvement of the Site, e.g. general trends and preferences. Personal Information is collected in order for TasteLocal to enable the overall operation of the Site and personalize the User’s experience on the Site. Secondly, the Personal Information enables TasteLocal to provide the Users with certain information and services available only to registered Users and Hosts. TasteLocal also reserves the right to contact Users with proposals and tailored information regarding product and other events, offers, services, etc. All Users have accepted this when registering on the Site. The collection of Personal Information also enables TasteLocal to offer a payment system for ordering on the Site through the payment service provider Mangopay. Please note that TasteLocal do not collect and store credit card or other financial information. All financial information is stored by Mangopay.
5. Sharing of Personal Information with third parties
The Site allows you to share your third party accounts’ profile information (e.g. Facebook and twitter) with other Users on TasteLocal’s Site, such as your buyer or seller, respectively. Please note that certain information which you have defined as private on your third party account (e.g. information which is visible to Facebook friends only) may become public to other TasteLocal Users through the Site if you have
defined such information to be public on TasteLocal’s Site. TasteLocal will share Personal Information it collects to the extent that such disclosure is required for operating the services offered via the Site. Sellers Personal Information (such as address and contact details) will not be disclosed to all TasteLocal’s Users, but only to the relevant Guests and sellers, who have placed a order or Booking for an Event with such Hosts. User’s use of third party services and tools, including the integration thereof with any social network account (e.g. Facebook), is at your own risk and responsibility and TasteLocal shall bear no responsibility or liability for any use thereof.TasteLocal may also disclose Personal Information it collects in the following cases: 
(a) to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request; 
(b) to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; 
(c) to respond to claims that any content published on the Site violates any right of a third-party; 
(d) to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the TasteLocal, its Users or the general public; 
(e) if TasteLocal is undergoing any change in control, including by means of merger, acquisition or purchase of all or substantially all of the assets of TasteLocal; and/or 
(f) to enable payment through Mangopay.
6. Social Features
TasteLocal’s Site includes social media features (“Social Features”). The Social Features allow for social integration with certain third party social networks or third party platforms (e.g. Facebook and Twitter). These social networks and platforms are created and maintained by third parties who are not affiliated with and/or controlled by TasteLocal. If you enable this integration with such social networks and
platforms, your use of the Social Features is subject to the applicable third party’s terms of use and privacy policies. If you do not agree to the practices described in such terms you should not allow the Site to interact with such social networks or platforms. Please note that you may find that you are not able to use all the features that may be made available via the Site if you do not allow the Site to interact with
such social networks or platforms. By using the Social Features you hereby agree and understand that the applicable social networks or platforms may collect certain Personal Information, such as your IP address and may set cookies or other web tracking technologies to enable the functionality of the Social Features. The use of such features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the third party that provides the Social Features. You hereby understand and agree that when you share content via social networks or platforms it is solely on your own risk.
7. Cookies
When you access or use the Site, TasteLocal may place and use technologies such as “cookies”, which stores certain information on your computer (“Local Storage”), which will allow TasteLocal to enable automatic activation of certain features, statistics and make your experience on the Site much more convenient and effortless. Cookies will also be used for targeted marketing. Please note that it is easy to
prohibit the Local Storage. Most browsers will allow you to erase cookies from your computer’s hard drive, block acceptance of cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. However, if you block or erase cookies, or change the settings, your online experience on the Site may be limited. Cookies and other tracking technologies usually store only Non-Personal Information, such as the web pages you have visited, the duration of your browsing, etc.
8. Security of the Site
TasteLocal takes reasonable measures to maintain the security and integrity of the Site and User’s information. However, please note that there are inherent risks in transmission of information over the internet or other methods of electronic storage and TasteLocal cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or use of your Personal Information will never occur. TasteLocal is not responsible or liable for unauthorized access, hacking or other security breaches or loss of any information.
9. Links to third party websites
Certain links provided on our Site permit our Users to leave TasteLocal’s Site and enter non-TasteLocal sites or services. These linked sites and services are not under the control of TasteLocal, and TasteLocal is not responsible or liable for such linked sites and services’ privacy practices or any other practices. Your access to, use of and reliance upon any such sites, services and content and your dealings with such third parties are at your sole risk and expense. We recommend that you carefully read the linked sites and services terms of use and privacy policy.
10. Advertisements
Users may receive advertisements and commercials from third party advertisers. When you click on the advertisements or commercials, you may be transferred to a website of an advertiser or receive any other messages, information or offers from the advertiser and/or from other third parties. Please note that if you click on any of these advertisements, these advertisers may use Local Storage including without limitation cookies to collect data regarding advertisement performance, your interaction with such ads and TasteLocal’s Site and your interests in order to serve you advertisements. TasteLocal always recommends that you read the terms of use and privacy policy of any advertiser you are interacting. Their privacy policy will apply to any of those interactions.
11. Deletion or change of Personal Information
If for any reason you wish to update or change your Personal Information you can do so within your Account. In the event that you wish to delete your Account or delete the Personal Information included therein you may do so by using the settings menu of the Account. TasteLocal cannot ensure that third parties who gained access to the Personal Information (e.g. the applicable seller, Guests or Hosts) delete your Personal Information, nor can TasteLocal monitor their use of such information.
12. Amendments to the Privacy Policy
The terms of this Privacy Policy will govern the use of the Site and any information collected with respect thereto. TasteLocal reserves the right to change this policy at any time, so please re-visit this page frequently. In case of any material change, we will make reasonable efforts to post a clear notice on the Site and/or will send you an e-mail (to the extent that you provided us with such e-mail address) regarding such change. In the event that the Privacy Policy must be amended to comply with any legal requirements, the amendments may take effect immediately, or as required by the law and without any prior notice.
